My name is Russ Foote and I have a passion for photography. All aspects of photography interest me, from taking the image to processing it using Lightroom and Photoshop.
I started on my photographic journey in 1981, when I received a SLR camera for my birthday. Over a number of years I learnt how to use my camera and how to process the images in a darkroom.
With the advent of the digital age, my learning began again. My first DSLR was purchased in 2007 and I started learning how to use Photoshop.
After a few years, I needed a new challenge. I signed up for a City and Guilds Level 2 Photography course in 2011, followed by the City and Guilds Level 3 Certificate in Photo Imaging. After this I joined the Royal Photographic Society and started working towards the Licentiateship Distinction. I was successful in achieving this Distinction in October 2015 and continue to work towards my ARPS Distinction.
In 2023 I was successful in achieving the Credit Award for the Photographic Alliance of Great Britain.
Every time I pick up my camera or open Lightroom and Photoshop I continue to learn. There is always something new to discover.
I have travelled to a number of countries to take photographs and participate in workshops, including the UK, France, Italy, Iceland and the USA.
I hope you enjoy my images.
